This video work acts as an anarchic comment on America’s consumerist, capitalist nature. Stealing the lights from New York’s central capitalist boast (Times Square), abstracting them to strip the ugliness and malevolence and replace it with a sense of beauty. A subtle voice taken from a 1950s housewife on LSD reads the lights as she plays the role of satirical agent, unknowingly mocking the western world’s current situation from a past that hoped for a bright future.
